The Z06 is a high-performance version of the Chevrolet Corvette. The
Z06 Corvette was first introduced in 1963 to allow customers a ready to race option without special order. In 2001 GM put the Z06 Corvette back into production based on the C5 platform. The C6 Corvette offered a Z06 option for model years 2006-2013. In 2015 Chevrolet began producing the Z06 Corvette again on the C7 platform.
